Is Rescue breed specific? Please explain either way: Yes, Rescued Racers was set up almost 20 years ago to help deal with the over production of registered greyhounds leaving the sport

Do you neuter all animals before leaving for forever homes where applicable? Please explain either way: Yes all greyhounds are neutered r spayed prior to adoption
(*If any animals are not neutered before rehoming due to age/health etc. please provide specific details on your policies, timescales for neutering by the new home, how this is checked by the rescue etc.)

Do you always home check?: Yes all homes are visited and prospective adopters are required to do this otherwise we do not allow adoption to proceed

If applicable do you always vaccinate?: Yes all greyhounds are fully vaccinated

If applicable do you always worm/flea treat?: Yes all greyhounds are given a treatment of Frontline and a course of Drontal

If applicable do you microchip?: All greyhounds re microchipped to the charity

Do you provide insurance when rehoming to new owners?: Yes a 4 week Pet Plan adoption policy is provided

Will you always take the animal back no matter what? If not please explain under what circumstances etc: All greyhounds remain the property of Rescued Racers and should the home experience problems these problems are talked through but if all else fails the greyhound returns to Rescued Racers

Rough ‘donation’ guide per animal, please also explain what this involves: We ask for a donation of £100 which helps the net greyhound ind a home

Can RHU staff/volunteers contact you about animals needing rescue backup that have been posted in our ‘backup needed’ section?: Yes

Other information (optional): Rescued Racers is a small Charity built in trust and a good working relationship. We are not a Charity where numbers of actions take priority we are a Charity where quality rather than quantity is key.
